Sunday School Information

Come and register for Sunday School, make an instrument and learn some songs for the choirs to sing at the Summer SON Celebration.

Lessons during the year will include “The Lord’s Prayer” for Preschool to First Grade and the “Ten Commandments” and “Apostles’ Creed” for Grades Two to Five.

Sunday School students will be helping paint murals in the classrooms.

Watch also for KIDZWORKS!, secret pals and worship buddies as special events for our children.

Confirmation Classes will begin on September 8 with the first evening being a parent and youth session from 6:45 until 8:00 pm. Watch for more information about registration coming in August. Classes for Grades 6-9 will be from 6:45 until 8 pm. On September 8 the youth and a parent or guardian will meet together in the fellowship hall. Confirmation Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors and as shepherds or guides for the classes. Contact Pastor Rich if you would like more information.

Lutheran College Fair and Workshops will be held on Tuesday, August 31, from 6:45 to 9 pm. at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church (3200 N. Mountain Road, Wausau). Workshops include "College and Career Planning" and "Financial Aid." Representatives from some of the 44 Lutheran colleges in this organization will be present at this college fair. Parents and students are encouraged to come. No cost or no pre-registration required.

Face to Face is a junior high event on Saturday, November 6, at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Get face to face with God and with others. The cost is $8 per student. Let Pastor Rich know by October 15 if you are interested in attending.

Church Youth Fest at Luther College, Decorah, IA is on November 13-14. This event for high school youth in grades 9-12 will include energized worship, interactive workshops, and lots of fun with other people! Come and join the fun as we learn how to “Live Love fearlessly.” Cost is $45 per youth and $30 per adult. Contact to Pastor Rich if interested.

Senior High Youth Gathering for this area will be at the Wausau Plaza Motel from November 12-14. Jay Gamlin is the speaker and “Jacob’s Road” will provide the music. The cost is $125 per person with scholarships available. Registrations need to be returned to Pastor Rich by September 26.
