Special Mission Project Information

Volunteers are needed to help plan and prepare for the meal at the Jubilee
House on Thursday, August 12. Please contact Pastor Rich or Annette Miller
to volunteer.

School Supplies: The Church Council set the special mission project for
August as providing school supplies for a couple of the DC Everest schools.
From some information that I have heard of, there are a great number of
children who have received vouchers for the “fill a backpack, fill a need”
program. To qualify for this program, a child must receive a free school lunch.
The problem is that anyone who receives a “reduced” lunch does not qualify
for the backpack program, but they also have a challenge in obtaining supplies
for school. So, the typical school items that we gather will be donated directly
to a school, beginning with Rothschild elementary. The school staff will
distribute the supplies as needed. Please bring the items to church and place
them in a designated box under the balcony.
