Do you enjoy a good meal with great company? Then our friendship dinner might be just your thing.
What do I do? You sign up now. You’ll be given a schedule assignment identifying the groups and the hosts for each month. The host sponsors the meal and the guests in the group attend.
What does the host do? The host schedules the date of the dinner for that month for their group. Friday nights often work well. The host provides the main course and beverages and they contact their guests to bring the side dishes.
How often would I have to host? You would not host more than once in each session.
What does the guest do? When contacted by their host, they offer to bring whatever side dish is appropriate. It may be a salad, appetizer, vegetables, bread, dessert, etc.
What kind of meal do we have? The host selects the main course menu. The meal might be a formal dinner with the good china, or it could be hamburger and brats on paper plates. It’s up to the host to decide.
How many people are in a dinner group? A typical group size is six to eight people.
I don’t have enough room to host that many people. Can I still participate? Yes. While most dinners are at the host’s home, some have been held at the church or at a restaurant. Weather permitting, it could be at a park or other site.
Is this a Bible study or are there other religious activities? No, this is simply a way to get to know each other better and enjoy each other’s company.
